Sandalwood Luxury

A bit of paradise.

When we were asked to work on this Sandalwood residence, we knew this remodel would have to bring the current home to the level of new million dollar plus homes in the neighborhood. The improving the interior space was a driving factor, but curb appeal was important as well.

As we worked on the project, what started as an effort to make the house better for the next 5-7 years, turned into a project to create a “forever home”. The development of design ideas revealed the potential of a home that would hold its own in a neighborhood of new homes and create the luxury spaces the owner dreamt of.
Here’s what we accomplished:

  • Created a new exterior. We raised the roof, centered the entry, and faced the home with stucco and a handsome cultured stone. New landscaping completes the look.
  • Remodeled kitchen, dining room and living room. We gave the interior a whole new look by enlarging the kitchen, raising ceilings and installing a new floor through all the spaces. Custom Rift sawn oak cabinets paired with a striking soapstone fireplace create a sense of luxury.
  • A cupola was added to provide natural light to the center of the home, and increase the home’s exterior presence.
  • A new Master Bath replaces one from a previous remodel. It’s designed to be a calming retreat with natural light and spa materials; glass block, glass tile and limestone tile.
  • A new media room was incorporated into the existing garage location. The new garage gave the opportunity for a kids loft, complete with a glass balustrade at the stair.
  • The roof was extended at the back of the house to create a covered patio. Mahogany columns with a stone base create a resort like feeling.

This project was truly a team effort, we were lucky to team up with Dovetail Builders, and Trina Stanfield, our clients’ interior designer. From custom built details to impeccable furniture selections, this project showcases our ability to completely redefine a home from exterior to interior.
